He had a big gun He had a half Stack He had a cool job that would pat him on the back He had a zoom ride He had a zoom cash He had a zoom closet that would make him zoom flash Heaven hold my hand I listen to the word box I listen every day I listen to the hip sound and it seemed to say Hey, where you been, man? Out in the Weed? You know that milk and honey ain’t got what you need You come up here, boy, where it’s all done We got a pipeline right to the sun He packed away his gun He sold his half-stack He moved into a neighborhood that’s on its way back He walkin’ through the park The gallery event He has so little time It must be well spent Heaven hold my hand I listen to the papers I listen to the street I listen to the Rock Club Try to keep the beat Hey, where you been, man? The Upper Side? You know that place will leave your heart and soul denied Come over here, boy, where it’s all done We got a pipeline right to the sun He unpacked his gun He bought a half-stack He moved into a neighborhood that grows it’s own crack His room an elevator His shower in the stair He pay his fifty dollar to have his nasty hair Heaven hold my hand I listen to the dogfight I listen to the queer I listen to the asphalt and I think I hear Hey, where you been, man? Up in the ‘hood? You know a flat like that ain’t gonna do no good You come down here, man, where life is fun We got a pipeline from the sun

Shout Out 03:09
I wonder why I don’t ever cry Out with a shout when I hear about All that could fall from a very tall Man with a plan who don’t understand Shout it out aloud You, yessir, you. Do you do what you Know will not go with the flow of the Day that they say is the only way Out of the doubt that we fret about Shout it out aloud Yes we should test what we fear could be Wrong for the song that we hope is the Best for the quest helping all the rest Out of the doubt that we shout about Shout it out aloud

Kill Time 04:47
I am weary, my eyes are bleary My back is broken As lies unspoken go running through me I cannot see my way out All I see through your twisted dark view Is garish faces But they leave traces of your treason Using reason to tell your lies I hold my lung, I bite my tongue Leaving all the sin unsung You confuse me when you use me Just to kill time To commit crime against my nature To reinstate your silly lie I hold my lung, I bite my tongue Leaving all the sin unsung In that still place, below the mind's race The heart center, You cannot enter, an empty flower The shining power of my heart

My Uncle Lou 03:39
Jimmy had a brain, left it in the rain and donated it to science They cut it in two, fixed it back with glue, turned it into an appliance I want to be just like him Then my uncle Lou told me what to do if i want to really make it Took me by the knee, said “Fred come with me Life is nothing if you fake it” Eyeball to eyeball he said to me you Ain’t gonna make it if you ain’t gonna shake it an you Ain't gonna rock it if you keep it in your pocket gotta Dig down, turn around and giver the little tiddlywink a bone I went back to school with my golden rule, acing all my tests and quizzes Then I saw the one staring in the sun she could be my little misses She’d charm the nose off your face Cindy was a queen, twinkle of a tween with a honeysuckle hairdo Beauty charm and grace smashed up on her face, wore a hat you wouldn’t dare to Eyeball to eyeball with her I thought I Ain’t gonna make it if you ain’t gonna shake it an you Ain't gonna rock it if you keep it in your pocket gotta Dig down, turn around and giver the little tiddlywink a bone Cindy looked at me, kissed me with her knee held me squirming in her power I could smell her mind pressing on the time and I knew it was my hour I just might die here and now I pulled out my heart, took it all apart, and I handed her the pieces First she let it drain then she ate a vein licking in between the creases I did not die and now I know why you Ain’t gonna make it if you ain’t gonna shake it an you Ain't gonna rock it if you keep it in your pocket gotta Dig down, turn around and giver the little tiddlywink a bone

Time Machine 03:58
Set the controls for the heart of the sunrise Heat and steam me from the dream Unglue my eyes The clock it wrings its hands as its little system Comes apart when I start My time machine The heat of the engine pours blast the cold away seconds shower down, break apart and come unwound wash all the worry away Set the dial to take awhile stretch the time being minutes fail as I sail my time machine Any moment showers now streaming down my back stand on the drain and watch the seconds rain, puddle of a tic-toc amnesiac My jets are cooling down the clock gloats as I lose steam He wrings his hands as I land my time machine
